RYA VOUCHERS

A new idea from the RYA for 2006, RYA vouchers make the ideal gift for friends and family or incentive for customers or employees. RYA vouchers are accepted at over 250 locations in the UK and abroad, and give you the freedom to buy RYA Training when and where you like.
Over the coming months, the scheme will be rolled out to cover a wider range of marine businesses, so soon RYA vouchers could be redeemed for anything from chandlery products to a marina stay.

How do you buy RYA Vouchers?

You can buy vouchers from the RYA over the telephone by calling them on 0044 845 345 0400. Or you can write to them at: The Royal Yachting Association, RYA House, Ensign Way, Hamble, Southampton. SO31 4YA. Make your cheque out to ‘The Royal Yachting Association’. Vouchers can be purchased in the following amounts: £10, £20, £50, £100. If you are a member of the RYA the 10% discount that you normally get on books etc does not extend to the purchase of vouchers.

Where can you spend your vouchers?

If you are in possession of an RYA Voucher, you can spend it at any participating centre – The RYA has a list of 'Redeeming Centres' on their web site (www.rya.org.uk). In Portugal there are two centres who accept RYA Vouchers, they are ‘The Iberian Sea School’ for motor cruising, telephone 965 800702 and ‘Faro Sailing School’ (at Ayemonte) for sailing, on 0034 959321824.

If you find a more convenient centre that is not one of the above, please mention to them that you'd like to use your RYA vouchers... it might just be that they've been too busy to register with the RYA for this service yet, and would be happy to register and take your vouchers!
